The Pflasterhüpfer teens
7 to 9 p.m.
It begins as a test of courage: in order to belong to the gang, Adam has to eat leaves, then cigarettes are put out on him and, last but not least, he has to balance over a grate at the top of the hill. Adam obeys, slips and falls down a meter-deep, dark shaft. It is unlikely that he survived the impact. To cover up their own involvement in the accident, the teenagers draw up the profile of an imaginary perpetrator. Quite unexpectedly, the police actually find a man who fits the description. Unrest spreads among the kids, and their nerves are completely frayed when Adam — badly injured but alive — crawls out of a hedge and has to be disposed of a second time. Kelly’s protagonists have seen enough CSI episodes to know how to cover genetic tracks and lay false trails. However, the fact that their consciences come to the fore in their callousness was definitely not planned.
