Cookies

We use so-called cookies in some areas of our website. These file elements allow your computer to be identified as a technical unit during your visit to this website in order to make it easier for you to use our website — even on repeat visits.

However, you usually have the option of setting your Internet browser so that you are informed about the occurrence of cookies so that you can allow or exclude them or delete existing cookies.

Please use the help function of your Internet browser to obtain information on how to change these settings. We would like to point out that individual functions of our website may not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

Cookies do not allow a server to read private data from your computer or data stored by another server. They do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses.

We base the use of cookies on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR: the processing is carried out to improve the functionality of our website. It is therefore necessary to protect our legitimate interests.

Use of the analysis tool “Matomo” (previously known as “Piwik”)

Our website uses Matomo(https://matomo.org/), an open source software for analyzing visitor access to our website. Matomo uses so-called cookies, text files that are stored on your computer and enable your use of the website to be analyzed. The information generated by the cookie about the use of this website is stored on our servers in Germany and is not passed on to third parties. Your IP address is anonymized immediately after processing and before it is stored.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website.

You can also object to the use of your data by Matomo by making use of the option described below:

A cookie is stored on your browser which only contains the information that no data about you may be collected by Matomo. Previously stored cookies are then deleted. However, if you delete all cookies in your browser, you may have to object to the use of your data again at

Use of the social plugin from Instagram

The protection of your personal data is very important to us. That is why we do not directly implement the various social plugins. We only place a link to Instagram on our pages. This social plugin is only activated when you follow the link.

Please note that data is only transmitted once you have activated the relevant social plugins by clicking on the corresponding link. Simply visiting our pages does not trigger any data transmission. If you activate the data transmission by clicking on the corresponding link, the following data transmission takes place:

Functions of the Instagram service are then integrated on our website. These functions are offered by Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Road Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. Since 2012, Instagram LLC has been part of the Facebook Inc. group of companies, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA.

You can find an overview of the Instagram plugins here: http://blog.instagram.com/post/36222022872/introducing-instagram-badges.

If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “Instagram” button, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Instagram server via the plugin. Instagram receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have an Instagram account or are not currently logged in to Instagram. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to the Instagram server in the USA and stored there. This allows Instagram to associate your visit to our site with your Instagram account.

We would like to point out that, as the website operator, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Instagram. Further information on this can be found in Instagram’s privacy policy at https://www.instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/.

If you do not want Instagram to be able to associate your visit to our site with your Instagram account, please log out of your Instagram account or do not activate the social plugins.

We base the use of the aforementioned social plugins on Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. By activating the corresponding link, you give us your consent to data processing. In any case, data processing is permitted under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; by activating the corresponding link, data processing is carried out for advertising purposes and is therefore in our legitimate interest.

Use of the social plugins from YouTube

Our website also links to the YouTube social network page. We also operate a social media page here.

If you click on a link to YouTube, you will be redirected to the relevant external YouTube page. If you are also logged in as a member of YouTube, the operator, YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066 USA, can assign your visit to our site to your respective user account. We would like to point out that YouTube LLC is part of the Google LLC Group, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

If you do not want YouTube to collect and store data about your visit to our website, you must log out of your YouTube account before clicking on the link.

For the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of your data by YouTube, please refer to the corresponding privacy policy, which you can find here: http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

We base the use of YouTube on Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. By clicking on the link and logging in to YouTube at the same time, you give us your consent to data processing. In any case, data processing is permitted under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; by clicking on the link and simultaneously logging into the respective social network, data processing is carried out for advertising purposes and is therefore in our legitimate interest.

Use of the plugins from Vimeo

We use the Vimeo plugins for the integration of videos on our website. Vimeo is operated by Vimeo LLC, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.

When you visit a website with the Vimeo plugin, a connection to the Vimeo servers is established. This tells the Vimeo server which website you have visited. If you are logged in to Vimeo as a member, Vimeo assigns this information to your personal user account. When using the plugin, e.g. playing a video by activating the play button, this information is also assigned to your user account. You can prevent this assignment by logging out of your Vimeo user account before using our website and deleting the corresponding cookies from Vimeo.

Further information on data processing and notes on data protection by Vimeo can be found at https://vimeo.com/privacy.

We base the use of Vimeo on Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. By activating the plugin and logging in to Vimeo at the same time, you give us your consent to data processing. In any case, data processing is permitted under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; by activating the plugin and simultaneously logging into the respective social network, data processing is carried out for advertising purposes and is therefore in our legitimate interest.

Use of Google Web Fonts, Google Maps and OpenStreetMap

External fonts, so-called Google web fonts, are used on our website. We also use Google Maps to show you the route to our company and to make it easier for you to plan your journey. Here, too, we use the services of Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. When you visit our website, your browser loads the required information from the Google server in the USA into your browser cache. This is necessary so that your browser can also display a visually improved presentation of our texts and the map on our website. This tells the Google server which of our web pages you have visited. Your IP address is also stored by Google.

Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq?hl=de-DE&csw=1
Further information on Google Maps can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html
General information on data protection at Google can be found at www.google.com/policies/privacy/

We use a map section from OpenStreetMap (https://www.openstreetmap.de/) on our website to show you the route to our company and to make it easier for you to plan your journey. OpenStreetMap is an open source mapping tool. Your IP address is forwarded to OpenStreetMap so that the map can be displayed to you. You can find out how OpenStreetMap stores your data on the OpenStreetMap data protection page here https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/DE:Datenschutz and here https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/DE:Legal_FAQ.

We base the use of the aforementioned tools on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR: the data processing is carried out to improve the user-friendliness of our website and is therefore in our legitimate interest.

Duration of storage

“We store your data for as long as is necessary for the final processing of your request. The statistical data collected via the “Matomo” analysis tool is anonymized as soon as it is collected and the results are stored for a maximum of 2 years.
This does not apply to data for which there are statutory or otherwise prescribed retention obligations; this data is stored for the duration of the respective retention period and then routinely deleted.”
