House rules for the FaustForum

Staufen, March 2026 — Mayor Michael Benitz

  1. The City of Staufen has sole domiciliary rights in all rooms. Express reference is made to compliance with statutory provisions, the protection of minors, the Ordinance on Places of Assembly, the building permit, etc.
  2. Scope of application: These house rules are valid on the premises and in all rooms of the FaustForum. The provisions of these house rules must be observed.
  3. Access and stay: Access to public buildings is only permitted to persons who have a legitimate request. Safety and order regulations must be observed by all users. Users are required to behave in a respectful and considerate manner. Persons who violate these house rules or fail to comply with instructions may be asked to leave the building without prejudice to further legal action and to the exclusion of any claims for reimbursement. In addition, a temporary or permanent ban from the premises may be issued. All persons must comply with the instructions of the admission and control staff, the employees of the building, the police, the fire department, the rescue service and the instructions of the official supervisory bodies. During an event, visitors must take the seat indicated on the admission ticket and remain in this position during the event. Visitors are not permitted to enter or remain in other rooms, e.g. the backstage area, stage or artists’ dressing rooms, unless the nature of the event requires such access (e.g. guided tours).
  4. Checkroom / prohibited items It is prohibited to bring food and drink, coats, thick jackets, umbrellas, rucksacks, walking sticks (with the exception of walking aids), large luggage, bags larger than A4 and bulky items into the concert hall. The rollator serves as a walking aid for the guest up to his/her seat and is placed by the service staff and made available to the guest again immediately after the end of the concert (or at the beginning of the interval). The operator accepts no liability for loss of or damage to the rollators. No liability is accepted for valuables (e.g. musical instruments, cameras, jewelry) or valuables (e.g. ID cards, credit cards, cell phones, laptops) or other items left in clothing, bags or other items. It is prohibited to carry the following items:
    - Weapons or dangerous objects as well as items which, if thrown, could cause bodily injury to persons.
    - Gas spray bottles, corrosive or coloring substances or pressurized containers for highly flammable or harmful gases, with the exception of commercially available pocket lighters and hairspray
    - Containers made of fragile or splintering material
    - Fireworks of any kind, smoking powder or pyrotechnic objects
    - Mechanically and electrically operated noise instruments
    - Racist, xenophobic and radical propaganda material
  5. Sound and image recordings The recording of events on sound and/or
image carriers (photo, video, film, data storage etc.) by visitors is prohibited. In the case of television broadcasts and the production of photos, video and sound recordings by the organizer or persons commissioned by the organizer, the visitor gives his consent to the broadcasting television station and the organizer with the purchase of the admission ticket that the recordings made by him during or in connection with the event may be used without compensation and without time or space restrictions by means of any current or future technical process up to a maximum length of 3 minutes.
  6. Noise levels The noise pollution in urban areas is 63 dB(A) during the day from 06:00 – 22:00 and 45 dB(A) at night from 22:00 – 06:00. Individual short-term noise peaks may not exceed the immission values by more than 30 dB(A) during the day and by more than 20 dB(A) at night. At individual events, there may be a risk of damage to hearing and health due to high noise levels in the hall. Visitors can request suitable hearing protection from Audience Services, which will be issued free of charge. The town of Staufen accepts no liability for damage to hearing or health in this context.
  7. Cell phones and other electronic devices as well as acoustic signaling devices of all kinds must be switched off during the event. In the interests of other visitors or the smooth running of an event, the operator is entitled to demand the return of the means of communication and information or the recording in a suitable form, to delete the latter and, if necessary, to ask the visitor to leave the concert.
  8. Admission for late arrivals There is no legal entitlement to late admission. Latecomers may only be admitted to the event during breaks or only to assigned areas of the hall after being cleared by the foyer team.
  9. Food and drinks Food and drinks may not be taken into the concert hall.
  10. Children Children up to the age of 12 may only enter the concert hall if accompanied by suitable supervisors. Visitors with children must ensure that these regulations are observed. School classes/groups of children up to the age of 14 must be accompanied by at least two adult supervisors.
  11. Animals: With the exception of assistance dogs, animals are not permitted.
  12. Smoking and drugs: There is an absolute smoking ban in the entire building in accordance with the State Non-Smoker Protection Act; this also applies to smoking with electronic cigarettes and tobacco heaters and similar products. Drug use of any kind is also prohibited. However, smoking in theatrical performances is permitted.
  13. Erection/dismantling, damage: All deliveries and erections must be carried out in such a way that they are as gentle as possible on the building and its furnishings. Furthermore, all safety regulations must be observed. The greatest possible protection means, for example:
    - no overriding of safety devices,
    - no blocking of lifts with objects,
    - no pushing of objects without castors,
    - no sticking/writing on walls, doors, etc.,
    - no storage of objects on armchairs and chairs,
    - no use of armchairs as climbing aids.
  14. Escape routes All escape and rescue routes must be kept clear of obstacles at all times. Assembly and dismantling activities must not obstruct escape routes. Extinguishing equipment, escape route markings and safety equipment must not be obstructed or covered.
  15. Requesting rescue services The fire department, police, rescue services or a doctor on duty must be requested via an employee of the venue. If this is not possible for valid reasons (in particular in the event of imminent danger), the employees of the venue and, in the event of an event, the FaustForum event management must be informed of the request immediately
  16. Changes No changes may be made to the rooms and their furnishings without the consent of the City of Staufen. Nailing and pasting on floors and walls is not permitted. Material provided by the City of Staufen must be returned in perfect condition. Damage to walls, floors and material is subject to compensation.
  17. Simultaneous use of rooms Simultaneous use for events of the hall and room A on the ground floor, as well as the hall and foyer on the ground floor is not permitted, as there are no extinguishing systems in room A and the foyer. The approved room plan for each event is displayed in the foyer.
  18. Operating hours and deliveries The operating hours at the FaustForum are set and approved from 08:00 – 02:00. Suppliers to the FaustForum are required to use only the designated parking area in the delivery zone.
