Comedy by Jan Weiler

The title naturally refers to Jean-Paul Satre’s “Closed Society”. As here in the play, the players are condemned to deal with each other without any possibility of escape. The facades soon crumble and in the end the question arises as to whether these people are even entitled to judge the student. Jan Weiler on the protagonists of his novel: “I like them all. And they’re all right. They all have a position that you can somehow understand.”
