7.30 p.m., movie duration 114 min.
FSK 6
Is it possible to become less old, less white and less male? Family man Heinz Hellmich is trying.
Heinz Hellmich (Jan Josef Liefers) has a problem: after making a few missteps in the company, he is threatened with losing his job. In order to save what can be saved, he invites his boss and a few other guests to a dinner party with his family. He wants to prove that he is modern and open-minded and doesn’t belong in the “old white man” category. But what was planned to be so harmonious ends in disaster.

Program
The diverse dinner party ploughs chaotically through the minefield of the most sensitive issues of our time until, at the end, the question arises as to how it is possible to build bridges in the Hellmich family, as well as in society as a whole, despite all the disputes.
According to the NZZ, director Verhoeven succeeded in creating a “clever comedy”.
