Max (Jean-Pierre Bacri) has been a successful wedding planner for many years, even if he sometimes despairs of his clients’ wishes. His private life, on the other hand, is a mess and his marriage is on the rocks. And now he has to organize an exquisite wedding this weekend in an old castle in the countryside outside Paris, where everything that is wrong with his assignments seems to be coming together: His assistant Adèle (Eye Haidara) is dragonlike to his colleagues, photographer Guy (Jean-Paul Rouve) has very idiosyncratic ideas about how his art should be appreciated at the occasion, and the hired DJ Etienne (Gilles Lellouche) is in turn exactly the roaring party entertainer that the spoiled groom Pierre (Benjamin Lavernhe) doesn’t want. Everyone seems to have an unexpected helper with them, hardly anyone has any experience and Max’s own Julien (Vincent Macaigne) recognizes an old love in the bride, which puts him out of action for the whole evening.
But that’s not all that can happen, there are also traffic jams, a spoiled main course or two people who can’t even hold a rope…
